The SiGMA Poker Tour Malta 2025 kicked off on September 2 with a thrilling start at Portomaso Casino, setting the stage for an intense week of poker action. The opening warm-up event saw Tobias Bollmann capture the first trophy of the series in dramatic fashion, winning with the legendary Doyle Brunson hand — 10-2.

The hand carries historic weight in poker. It was famously played by the late poker icon Doyle Brunson, who used it to secure back-to-back World Series of Poker Main Event titles in 1976 and 1977.
